A place to land

The farm is the
whole point.

The Little Orchard Farm is a working North Alabama farm—orchard rows, animals, open fields—with private glamping sites woven right into it. Not a resort that borrowed some farm decor. A real farm, with real animals, real seasonal produce, and real quiet.

Whether you're a couple overdue for uninterrupted time together, a best friend you've not properly hung out with in months, or a solo traveler looking for space to just exist for a few days—this is where you come. No agenda. No noise. Just the farm, the stars, and slow mornings with good coffee.

The farm is the destination.
Everything else is a bonus.

A charming small town with local shops, antiques, and hometown dining just down the road. A great stop for a slow morning outing or a casual evening meal before heading back to the fire.
Sitting along the Tennessee River, Decatur offers waterfront dining, craft breweries, a revitalized historic downtown, and the spirit of a city that hasn't lost its small-town feel. Worth an afternoon.
Restaurants, breweries, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and everything a city weekend has to offer—close enough for a dinner out, far enough that you won't hear any of it from your fire pit.
One of Alabama's oldest and least-touched towns—cobblestone streets, a working post office from 1840, and a small church where Andrew Jackson once worshipped. Genuinely romantic and almost entirely off the tourist radar.
One of the Southeast's great wildlife refuges—tens of thousands of acres of wetlands and bottomland forest along the Tennessee River. Birdwatching, walking trails, and the kind of stillness that compounds nicely with a night on the farm.
North Alabama's limestone karst country is a short drive away—natural springs, cave systems, and local swimming holes that most visitors never find. Perfect for a half-day adventure before coming back to the farm.
Home to one of the largest known bat colonies in North America—hundreds of thousands of gray bats emerge at dusk in a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.
A hilltop historic estate perched above Huntsville with sweeping views of the Tennessee Valley. Golden hour up here is something else—open grounds, a historic mansion, and a quiet that feels a world away from the city below. A perfect afternoon outing for two.
One of the most impressive cave entrances in the world—over 25 feet tall and 128 feet wide. The cave's massive formations, including the iconic stalagmite "Goliath," make for an unforgettable underground adventure.
A serene, beautifully maintained Japanese garden—koi ponds, stone lanterns, peaceful walking paths, and a stillness that pairs naturally with the restorative mood of a farm stay.
Nearly 180,000 acres of gorges, waterfalls, and old-growth forest—one of Alabama's most spectacular natural places. Hike Sipsey Wilderness, find a waterfall, or just drive the scenic roads.
Dramatic lake bluffs, bald eagle sightings in winter, and one of the most strikingly beautiful bodies of water in the entire Southeast. Whether you're hiking the ridge trails or watching the sun set over the water—this one earns its drive.

Of course, you may choose to never leave the farm at all during your stay. We won't be offended.
